The 11-inch version of the 2011 Apple MacBook Air has a processor that is designed to run at 1.8 GHz, and the MacBook also has a turbo boost that is designed to allow the processor run at 2.9 GHz. In most cases, the RAM of the MacBook is 4GB, but the most basic version of the product has 2GB of RAM. If you use this tool to install macOS Mojave on a Mac that Apple itself says won't work, you can't honestly expect a great experience. You're not going to transform that brilliant 2008 MacBook Air. That short sentence rubbed out all Macs introduced in 2009, 2010 and 2011, leaving these on the Mojave approved list: MacBook Air; mid-2012 (6/2012) and later MacBook; early-2015 (4/2015).
You can upgrade to macOS Mojave from OS X Mountain Lion or later on any of the following Mac models. Your Mac also needs at least 2GB of memory and 12.5GB of available storage space, or up to 18.5GB of storage space when upgrading from OS X Yosemite or earlier.
Mojave will be almost UNUSABLE without graphics acceleration. This includes the 15' and 17' MacBook Pro systems (MacBookPro8,2 and 8,3). If you want to enable GPU acceleration on these machines, you'll need to disable the AMD GPU (This will work on MacBook Pro 8,2 and 8,3 systems ONLY. You CANNOT disable the AMD GPU in an iMac.). I think Apple have done good to support Mac's as far back as 2011 before Mojave, I have a 2011 MacBook Pro I don't expect Apple to support it forever. I'm planning on upgrading my laptop later this year anyway.

Click Continue and follow the onscreen instructions. You might find it easiest to begin installation in the evening so that it can complete overnight, if needed.
If the installer asks for permission to install a helper tool, enter the administrator name and password that you use to log in to your Mac, then click Add Helper.

Allow installation to complete
Please allow installation to complete without putting your Mac to sleep or closing its lid. Your Mac might restart, show a progress bar, or show a blank screen several times as it installs both macOS and related updates to your Mac firmware.
